“You never really know when your life is going to change. You can see the need for something to change. You can want something to change. You can also work incredibly hard to avoid change at all costs. But, in the end, life is going to change and the only control you have is over how you allow that to impact you. My journey began with the word “ontological” appearing on my computer screen.

I had logged on to LinkedIn as part of my daily routine for the sales position I had taken on. It was a great position with an amazing company that gave me business opportunities I had only dreamed of previously. Yet, it left my highly entrepreneurial, innovative problem solving spirit feeling caged. As I mindlessly clicked and searched for someone I could deem a prospective client, a friendly face appeared in my suggested connections with a title of Ontological Life Coach. Under the impression I was considering her as a potential sales call, I clicked to learn more about her business and to add this unfamiliar word to my vocabulary.

The vague profile did exactly what it needed to do by giving me enough information to make me interested in learning more but really did not clarify anything. I sent an invitation to connect and what happened from there cannot be described as anything short of magical.

In our first meeting, Sarah Crawford – Ontological Life Coach, asked me questions that my soul needed to be asked. She asked questions that made me acknowledge who I am instead of what I do. She shared her personal motivations and perspectives in a way that gave me the sense that we could be a great team. The conversation was honest, comfortable and absolutely inspiring. We are talking the kind of conversation that generates sighs,”mmmm’s”, “ooo’s” and “aahs” like a great dessert. I wasn’t sure what I had signed up for but I knew it would be an adventure I wanted to be on.

Over the course of a single year, Sarah created the opportunity for me to talk about the woman inside me that desperately wanted out. I felt comfortable talking about my secret guilt over not enjoying the life that was superficially the most successful it had ever been. I was able to release the tears of joy I had over surviving a life threatening illness and the gift that facing death can be in connecting you with what matters. I stopped judging myself for not being someone I thought I should be and found the power in valuing the very differences I thought were flaws. Sarah helped me discover that my soul was put here to inspire others to be passionately pursuing their dreams so they can share in the gift of my second chance at life.

And learning these things has made all of the difference.

The uninspiring business plans I had written in the past took on new life when viewed through the lens of “How could this business inspire others to achieve their dreams?”. In an epiphany like moment, I was able to consolidate three business plans that I had worked on for over 7 years into a business model that can create real, lasting change for myself, my family and the small businesses that I have spent my career trying to support. I completely credit Sarah’s
ongoing coaching for opening me up to the ideas that will make a difference and it is through her ongoing support that I can continue to learn a new way of being.

Whether you are feeling stuck, driving something big or just looking to change the way you react to a life you already love, Sarah can help you get out of your own way. It will be the best investment in yourself you ever make. It was for me.”
